This is for our forgotten troops, fallen in our wars but missing from our history books.
This is for the missing memorials, for the men and women, black, coloured, and asian, who won our battles too.
This is for those that fought, both free and colonized, who neither received the gratification of celebration,
nor the freedoms promised by victory.
This Memorial Day, remember that Freedom isn’t Free, but
remember also that Freedom isn’t always allotted to those that fought the hardest.
